Christina M. Dueno, PMHNP-BC
I began my nursing journey back in 1993 after graduating from Mount Carmel School of Nursing. The training I received provided the foundation of the clinician I am today. I worked at Mount Carmel Hospital on a general medical-surgical unit, and then transferred to the cardiac catheterization step down unit before relocating to Dayton, OH. My priority at that time was raising and home educating my three children.
I went back to school at Wright State University and completed an advanced degree in psychiatric mental health nursing finishing in 2016. During that time, I worked as a clinical research coordinator at Midwest Clinical Research Center and established the Midwest Clinical Research inpatient unit. I was the coordinator on numerous CNS studies and managed the inpatient unit for some time.
Upon graduating in 2016, my husband and I established Dayton Behavioral Care, LLC. Since, I have been working as an advanced practiced nurse in psychiatry, my focus has been to bring the latest evidenced-based treatment modalities to Dayton and surrounding communities. In my spare time, I love to travel, read, and spend time with our boxer “Bella”.

Melanie Gecili, LISW
Humanist at heart, Melanie seeks to approach every client she works with in a curious, unbiased way. Graduating with her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2003, she has worked in various practice settings with diverse client populations. She came across an EMDR training by way of a private practice owner whose practice she was working for at that time. A skeptic, she decided to attend the initial training as provided by The Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
She left the initial EMDR training shocked and awed by the rapid efficacy and dignity EMDR provides all clients who seek to heal unresolved trauma; by the respect the modality naturally lends to every client’s unique set of strengths.
Driven by the above, Melanie has since pursued further training with EMDR. She is now a consultant in training with Institute for Creative Mindfulness, and is an EMDRIA approved EMDR therapist. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with her dogs Spooky and Toby, meditating, taking care of her houseplants, and reading.
